About the pub

Formerly the Cumberland Inn, the Star & Dove sits on the edge of Totterdown, the pastel-coloured community famous for its November Arts Trail. The pub is also about 50 yards from Victoria Park, a beautiful green oasis with tennis courts, football pitches and lots of space for sunbathing and dog-walking.

What's on offer

A shot of the pub's back bar

Downstairs at the S&D, there are three separate bar areas:

  • The Green Room, straight ahead as you arrive in the pub is the main bar area, where there are sofas, armchairs and log fires, ideal for loafing about. You go through the Green Room to get to..
  • The Family Room - lots of room for buggies, huge sofas and best of all, a carpeted 'creche' area where your little treasures can enjoy themselves in a safe, manageable environment.
  • The Blue Room, the left-hand door as you arrive in the pub, is our restaurant area - a relaxed, informal space to kick back and enjoy our amazing cooking.

Upstairs is undergoing renovation, but in the coming months will become the main restaurant area. We'll let you know when this is the case, so keep an eye out on this site!

The Garden

Spring is here! It's sunny as this is written, in mid-April, so summer can't be too far off... Anyway, we have outside seating in our garden, as well as on tables outside the front, where you can imagine you're on a Parisian boulevard watching the world go by... maybe!

There is a covered trellis area in our beer garden, for when you need to get outside even if it's raining...
